Brittany Nicole Knighton

It is with deep sadness that the family of Brittany Nicole Knighton announce her passing on September 30, 2022. Brittany is survived by her parents, Randy and Melissa Knighton; grandparents, Nicki Knighton and Olan Woodard Sr; aunts and uncles, James Knighton Jr., Darryl Knighton, Billy and Shelia Reyes, Olan Jr “Bud” and Debbie Woodard, James and Kimberly Woodard; cousins, Justin Knighton, Jason Knighton, Haley Hess, Kristina Reyes, Justin Woodard, Whitney Massey, Kaitlin Woodard, Karly Woodard; as well as her friend and close confidant, Sally. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Gloria Woodard “Nana” and her grandfather, James Knighton Sr. “PeePaw”. Brittany was born November 30, 1994. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School Class of 2013. She worked at Providence Park for 9 years. She was a nurse aid and completed the Medication Administration for Nurse Aide Program at Tyler Junior College in 2016. She continued to work at Providence Park until her passing. Brittany was an amazing person that was loved by many. She was a confidant and was considered a sister to her friends. She loved to travel with them and was always ready for the next adventure no matter what that may have been. She had an unconditional love for her godchildren, Kason and Kynnedi Black. Some of her greatest times were with them and they always knew they could count on their BB for anything. Brittany was a force to be reckoned with. She was independent, hardworking, dedicated, smart, caring, loving and a little stubborn to say the least. She had a laugh and smile that was contagious and would light up a room. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but how lucky were we to have known her and to have had the time we had with her. We all feel like it wasn’t long enough and her time was cut short, but her light will always shine bright within us all. Until we meet again, may she fly high with wings of an angel. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2022 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway in Tyler, Texas. Memorial Service on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. will be officiated by Jason Taylor. Brittany will be laid to rest at Henry Cemetery in Gallatin, Texas with a graveside service at 1:30 p.m.
