Judy Arnold Calbert

A memorial service for Judy Arnold Calbert, 80, of Tyler will be held at Marvin United Methodist Church, 300 W. Erwin Street, on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Gerry Giles officiating. A private burial service will precede the memorial, under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Born April 11, 1938 in Greencastle, Indiana to the late Lois J. and Mae Mullins Arnold, Judy attended Greencastle High School and Indiana State University, where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She married Robert M. Calbert on August 10, 1957. They have two sons, Craig Arnold Calbert, Garland, TX and Michael Madison Calbert, Woodside, CA. Judy is survived by her loving husband of 61 years; son, Craig and daughter-in-law Stephanie Gray Calbert; son, Michael and daughter-in-law Barbara Lynn Calbert; three grandsons, David, Mitchell and Ryan Calbert; her brother, Jerry Arnold and wife Evelyn of Seven Lakes, NC; her sister, Joyce Noblitt and husband Roy of Marietta, GA.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her sister, Jo Mae Arnold; mother, Mae Arnold and father, Lois Arnold. Judy’s business experiences included serving as administrative assistant to several corporate executives within Albertsons, Inc., Skaggs Alpha Beta and Peoples National Bank of Paris, TX. Her greatest accomplishment and love was raising her two sons. Judy was a member of the Pairs and Parents Sunday School Class as well as being active in Mission Committee activities at Marvin United Methodist Church. The family cannot express in words the loving care given by Evelene Lewis, Judy’s long-time caregiver. Evelene’s love, respect and care made Judy’s life more meaningful. The family would like to thank the dedicated doctors who helped Judy through her battle with Parkinson’s Lewy Body Dementia, Dr. James Lively, Dr. Tsauyu Lin and Dr. Jerome Lisk. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway in Tyler.
