Adrian Robert "Bob" Caudle

Services for Adrian Robert “Bob” Caudle Jr., 88, of Tyler, will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ron Byrd officiating under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mr. Caudle passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in Tyler. He was born March 28, 1930 in Knox City, TX to Adrian Robert Caudle Sr. and Ruth Hanna (Simpson) Caudle. He graduated from Tyler High School in 1948. Bob joined the U.S. Navy in 1949 and served in the Korean Campaign aboard the USS Valley Forge and USS Essex from 1951-52. He was honorably discharged in 1953. Bob continued his education at Tyler Junior College, East Texas State College and University of Texas at Tyler. He worked in the oil and gas industry starting in 1955 and continued until retirement in 2011. He was involved in the organization of several partnerships and corporations throughout his professional career. Bob served as Chairman, Treasurer, Elder and Deacon of Ross Avenue Christian Church, Ridgeview Christian Church, and University Christian Church all located in Tyler. He was a member and former Chairman of the Board of the Lighthouse for the Blind, Tyler (DBA Horizon Industries), held most offices with the Tyler Lions Club and recently received the Honorary Lions Lifetime Membership Award. He was a past member of the Tyler Junior College Tennis Advisory Committee, and served 5 years on the Hollytree country Club Advisory Board. Bob was a proud Lifetime Member of the NRA. Bob enjoyed tennis, traveling, photography, spending time with family and ranching. Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn Louise Sharaa, of Tyler. He is survived by his loving family including sons, Robert Lee Caudle and wife Venetia of DeBerry, TX, Joe Weaver and wife Tina of Tyler and Samuel Caudle and wife Lisa of Tyler; daughter, Sherry Hilliard and husband Mike of Tyler. His grandchildren are Sarah DeValdenabro and husband Sammy of Ft. Worth, TX, Austin Caudle and wife Anita of Ft. Worth, TX, Rainey Grisham and husband Josh of Shreveport, LA, Neeley Caudle of Shreveport, LA, Samantha Weaver of Austin, TX, Clint Weaver of Tyler and Travis Caudle of Tyler. Bob was blessed with 5 Great-Grandchildren. Honorary Pallbearers are Bill Buehrle, Ed Specht, Tommy Berry, Wayne Barton and Charles McNeese. Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
