Anita Wuensche

Services for Mrs. Anita B. Wuensche, 93 of Tyler, will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at 1:00 at Grace Lutheran Church, Victoria TX with Reverend Dr. Bill Hassel and Rev. Chris Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Victoria, TX under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Wuensche passed away Saturday, July 1, 2006, at her residence in the Garden Estates Nursing Home in Tyler. She was born December 18, 1912 in Lee County, Texas to the late Herman and Marie Braun Sommerfeld. She lived most of her life in the farming community of McCook, TX in the Rio Grande Valley. Before moving to Tyler three years ago, Anita lived in Victoria, TX for 25 years. She was baptized in the Lutheran Church on March 23, 1913 with her confirmation on November 25, 1928. Anita married the late Elmo Wuensche on May 1, 1930. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, quilting, and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Wuensche is preceded in death by her husband Elmo Wuensche; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Sommerfeld; sisters, Freida Kieke, Lorena Wuensche, and Mamie Whitworth; brother, Eldo Sommerfeld; and great granddaughter, Amy Summer McKinsey. Mrs. Wuensche is survived by her loving family including her daughters, Margie Arrington of Texarkana, and Artie McKinsey and husband Sam of Tyler; son Floyd Wuensche and wife Doris of Fairview; and her sister, Lillian Palousek of Brenham; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, two honorary great-grandchildren, twin honorary great-great granddaughters. Pallbearers will be Gary Arrington, Perry Arrington, Mac McKinsey, Suzan McKinsey Wood, Ronny Wuenshe, Dr. Randy Wuensche and Sam McKinsey. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 5 at Grace Lutheran Church located at 9806 N.E. Zac Lentz Parkway in Victoria, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 9806 N.E.
