Beverly Ann Wright Wortham

Beverly Wortham passed away unexpectedly in Tyler, Texas on February 13, 2018. Beverly was born to a loving mother and father Ola Ann Wright and Kelly Wright in Loraine, Texas on November 15, 1956. Beverly grew up in Texas and her family moved to Snyder where she finished at Snyder High School in 1974. Beverly would go on to complete her Bachelor’s in Business from the University of Houston at Victoria graduating Summa Cum Laude. Over her life she developed a diverse and vibrant career whilst maintaining her focus on creating a warm, loving and close-knit family. Beverly met Michael Wortham in Snyder Texas in 1979 and they were married a year later in 1980 on the 24th of February at the First Methodist Church in Snyder. With their two sons, Beverly and Michael enjoyed traveling God's amazing world, embracing the diversity of people and cultures from around the globe. They established lifelong friendships, always creating a strong community wherever their journey led them. Across her life, Beverly had an immensely positive impact on those around her and she supported various charitable organizations with a strong focus on improving the quality of life for underprivileged children. Beverly was the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend and she is survived by her son, Justin, his wife, Erin and their two children, Dylan and Kara Wortham of Round Rock; her son, Ross and wife Elizabeth Wortham of Perth, Australia; sister, Melinda Franklin of Santa Anna; mother-in-law, Doris Collier Wortham of Van Buren, AR.; sister-in-law, Diana and husband Steven Peer of Van Buren, Ark. and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. The family will hold a visitation with relatives and friends at Stewart Family Funeral Home in Tyler on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Emerald Bay Community Church in Bullard Texas on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., with an interment to follow at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery. Memorial contributions for Beverly can be made to the East Texas Food Bank through their website www.easttexasfoodbank.org.
