Brandon Grantham

Services for Ronald “Brandon” Grantham, 41, of Tyler, will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lanny Holbrook officiating under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mr. Grantham passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 at his residence in Tyler. He was born December 16, 1975 in Texarkana, Texas, to Beverly Grantham. Brandon graduated from St. Louis School within Tyler ISD at the age of 22. For several years he participated in the residential and vocational program of Community Access which is geared to individuals with special needs. In 2010, Brandon received an award for his Act of Courage in helping a staff member who became ill and needed assistance. Later, Brandon returned home to reside with his mother and subsequently participated part-time as an Achiever within the Achieving Dreams community based program for adults with disabilities. As an Achiever, Brandon participated in providing volunteer work with various businesses in the community that partner with Achieving Dreams providing opportunities to Brandon and his co-workers in pre-vocational training, expanding their social, communication, and increasing their leisure skills. Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Natalie Grantham of Bogata, Texas. Brandon is survived by his loving family including his mother, Beverly Grantham of Tyler; his aunt Verna Stone and her husband Henry of Como; his uncle John Grantham and his wife Susan of Bogata; and his aunt Linda Wallace and her husband Randy of Flint. Brandon was also survived by several cousins including Clay Wallace with whom he was particularly close. Honorary pallbearers will be his loving friends from Achieving Dreams. Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Friday, June 2nd at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
