Carrie Dee Siegrist

Services for Carrie Dee Siegrist, 44, of Tyler, TX will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Tyler under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Miss Siegrist passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022 in Tyler after a long and courageous battle with Tay-Sachs disease. She was born August 4, 1977 in Dallas, TX to Gary Dee Siegrist and Barbara Ann Wise Siegrist. Carrie spent her younger years living in New Mexico and her adolescent years were spent growing up in Richardson, TX before moving to Tyler in 2011. She graduated from Richardson High School in 1995 and attended Richland Community College before going off to college in Idaho. Carrie spent several years servicing others in retail but her real love and passion was spent in child care caring for young children. Carrie also thoroughly enjoyed fellowship and worshipping, having spent the past 11 years attending the Church of Latter Day Saints 1st Ward of Tyler where she made many friends. Carrie enjoyed puzzles, book clubs, painting, watching movies, eating out, spending time with friends but her real love was traveling around Texas watching high school football games with her father, and most of all, she loved watching and cheering on her beloved Texas A&M Aggies. Carrie also dearly loved her nephews Branden Siegrist and Gunner Siegrist, always cheering them on at their various sporting events and other activities they were involved in. A beautiful and bright day in Carries life was when her father Gary married Sandy, who became her mother, friend and primary caretaker. Sandy has been an angel sent at the right time, helping and encouraging Carrie in every way possible. Carrie was preceded in death by her mother Barbara in 2001. She is survived by her loving family including father, Gary Siegrist and mother Sandy; brother, Curtis Siegrist and wife Erin; nephews, Branden & Gunner Siegrist; and other family members: Andrea Hancock (Jay), Ben Bass (Shannon), Amy Beatty (Rob); along with other cousins, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Rob Beatty, Ben Bass, Jason Williams, Austin Ison, Branden Siegrist and Gunner Siegrist Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
