Carroll Moseley

Services for Carroll Wayne Moseley, 73 of Whitehouse, are scheduled for Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Tyler with Dr. Michael Massar officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mr. Moseley passed away, Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at his home in Whitehouse. He was born October 30, 1933 in Rusk, Texas to the late Henry Lee and Alice Moseley. Mr. Moseley was raised in Rusk where he graduated High School and attended Tyler Junior College and Stephen F. Austin State University. Later he enlisted into the United States Army. He became a motorcycle policeman for the Tyler Police Department for four years during the early 1960's. After his time on the police force he began working in the Juvenile Probation department before furthering his career as the Chief Adult Probation Officer for Smith County during the mid 1960's. Carroll was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tyler and was the director of the Radio Bible Class. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and a good joke but most of all he loved spending time with his family and his dog Apache. Mr. Moseley was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Joy F. Moseley. Carroll is survived by his loving family including his wife, Sue Moseley of Whitehouse; sons, Mike Moseley and wife Dena of Tyler, Kelly Moseley of Whitehouse; and Donald Dudley of Tyler; daughters, Kathy Moseley of Tyler, and Amy Lampin and husband Kevin of Tyler; grandchildren, Wendy, Kevin, Michael, Rebecca, Abbi, Thomas, Elizabeth, and Wesley; great grandchild, Josi; sister, Jean Caldwell and husband, Bob of Bedford. Pallbearers will be Gary Clower, Jimmy Persons, Harry Williams, Cy Reeder, Perry Lomax, and Leo Jones, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Blalock, Ray Snider, Dr. Thomas Alexander, Dr. Ken Kummerfeld, and Don Dillard. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Friday, May 18, 2007, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy., Tyler, Texas 75703.
