Graveside services for Donald “Donnie” Keith Baker, 66, of Flint, TX will be held on Saturday, September 4th, 2021 at 10:00 am at Rose Lawn Cemetery with Larry Robbins officiating. Donnie was called home by his loving Savior on August 28, 2021, after an almost two-week battle in a Tyler hospital. He was born on October 13, 1954 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Donald Brisco and Lillian Margaret Baker. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Diana Buhman Baker, of 46 years; his children he truly worshiped: daughter, Kerri Seamands and husband, Mike Seamands; son, Kory Baker and wife, Shelley Baker; and his precious granddaughter, Hayden Seamands, who absolutely lit up his very life. He was a wonderful loving husband, father, PaPa and friend. He never met a stranger. He is also survived by three brother-in-laws, two sister-in-laws and several nieces and nephews, whom he was very close to; and his sister and husband, Tammy and Kendall Adams and brother, Tommy Baker. Donnie always put his family first, working very hard all his life to provide the very best for each of them. He found his true passion in sales. He was the Commercial Fleet Manager for 20 years at 3 different dealerships. His longest career was at Hall GMC Tyler. He was known for “no pressure sales” and always taking great care of his customers. He was truly dedicated to each of them and they loved and counted on him for honest care. Two of Donnie’s true passions were golf and hunting. How he cherished playing many rounds of golf a day….from sunup to sundown with his many favorite golf buddies. Early on in life, he went every deer season hunting with his friends. Over the years, he decided he enjoyed “watching” the deer and turkeys more, instead of hunting them. He loved his Savior and enjoyed life to the fullest. He had many dear friends he cherished and was always there to help anyone in need. Peace and comfort are found in knowing our paths will cross again. How glorious to be sitting on the right-hand side of our Heavenly Father. He was greatly loved and will be truly missed.
