Services and celebrations to honor the extraordinary life of Glenn A. Gray, 80, of Noonday, Texas will be held in Tyler, Texas, including a visitation on Friday, March 14, 5-7 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home (7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy); a service on Saturday, March 15, 1:30 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home with burial immediately following at Rose Hill Cemetery, (2400 S Donnybrook Ave); and a toast with storytelling at Texas Music City Grill (5424 Old Jacksonville Hwy) from 4-6 p.m. Mr. Gray passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and children in Tyler, Texas. He was born October 21, 1944, in Shreveport, LA to John Wesley Gray and Annie B. Faulk Gray and spent his childhood in Joaquin, Texas, his young adult life in Houston, Texas, and the past 46 years in the Tyler area. Glenn graduated from Joaquin High School and Sam Houston State University, where he was a member of the national championship football team of 1964. He held professional positions in education in his early career and operated an Allstate Insurance agency for 38 years. He was a Godly man and member of Christ Episcopal Church. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Johnny and Annie B. Gray, and siblings Auburn Gray and Doris Gray Ingram, and dear friends Johnny Eargle, Reed Franklin, Thomas Harvey, and Danny Wills. He is survived by his loving family, including his dedicated wife of 55 years, Paulette Roddy Gray, children Tonja Gray and Ryan Gray, daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Bailey Gray, sister Kathryn Gray Keith, and grandchildren Annabelle, Parker, Waylon, and Ella. He was adored by siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, dear friends and neighbors that he considered family. Officiating the service is Ted Henson with Annabelle Eaton as vocalist and speakers Ryan Gray, Tonja Gray, Ryan Bass, and Alex Olmos. Pallbearers include Ryan Bass, Tom Dana, Parker Eaton, Cam McClarty, Alex Olmos, and Mike Trinwith. Honorary pallbearers include Tommy Gray, Wayne Gray, Tom Keith, Dennis Parma, Janice Pritchard, and Leonard Yarbrough.
