Jean B. Kee

Services for Jean Kee, 79, of Whitehouse, will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Rev. Sherman Mayfield officiating. Burial ceremony will follow at the Whitehouse Cemetery under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Kee passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 at The Hospice of East Texas with her family by her side. She was born April 26, 1934 in Tyler to Truman Lee and Iris Lorene Baird Bevis. Graduating from Tyler High and Tyler School of Business, she went to work as a secretary for her father’s company where she met and married her husband the late Bill Kee. They were stationed in New Jersey and Oklahoma while he served in the Army. After his service, they made their home in Whitehouse for 54 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family was her life. She gave more to others than she ever gave to herself. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she loved the Lord and served faithfully for many years. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting and growing beautiful flowers. She loved to hunt and travel with family, but the greatest joy she had was attending sporting events of her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kee was preceded in death by her husband, Bill G. Kee and brother, Leland Bevis. She is survived by her loving family, son Steve Kee and loving daughter-in-law Christy, daughter Tracy Shubert and son-in-law Ricky, son Craig Kee, all of Whitehouse; grandchildren, Heath Shubert and fiancée Shannon Porter of Marshall, Chase Shubert and wife Amanda of Whitehouse; Cole Kee and wife Leslie of Kingwood and Haley Kee of Whitehouse; great-grandchildren, Gage Shubert and Colton Kee; brother, Bobby Bevis and wife Debbie of Holly Lake, and numerous cousins and friends. Pallbearers will be Heath Shubert, Chase Shubert, Cole Kee, Haley Kee, Rick Taylor and Charlie Jones. Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
