Justin Randall Adams

A celebration of life for Justin Randall Adams, 45, of Tyler, will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Bill Necessary officiating. Justin passed away peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 3, 1975 in Alameda, California to Jerry and Deborah Adams. Justin graduated from Alameda High School in Alameda, California in 1993. He went on to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in History from University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, where he was a member of Phi Alpha Theta National Honor Society. Justin was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Adams. He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 13 years, Shannon Adams; his children, Melina, Hannah and Connor; his mother, Deborah Adams; his brothers, Brian Adams (Jennifer) and Bill Linville (Jennifer); his aunt, Carrie “Libby” Miller (Gina); as well as several in-laws, nieces and nephews. Justin was a caring a selfless person, he would give you his last dollar if you needed it. He had a larger than life personality and loved to make people laugh with his dry, sarcastic sense of humor. Justin had a passion for music, from singing in musicals to playing his guitar and other random instruments he could get his hands on. He loved writing songs, especially for his wife and even sang one for her at their wedding. Justin was a huge sports aficionado, there was not a sport that he didn’t enjoy. He was a big movie buff and enjoyed introducing all of his favorites to his children. Even though Justin had a fear of heights, that did not stop him from travelling around the country and riding rollercoasters with a group of other coaster fanatics. He could not wait for his younger children to get big enough to ride the big coasters with him and was so excited when his oldest got over her fear and rode her first big coaster a few years ago. Justin will be missed by all, but his spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of those who loved him. The family asks that masks be worn by those who attend the memorial service.
