Requiem Mass for Kathleen Stech White, 91, of Tyler, will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Flint with Rev. Timothy Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery in Council Bluffs, IA under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Kathleen Stech White departed this world on Friday, May 6, 2016 in Tyler, Texas She was born August 25, 1924 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Kathleen was 91 years, 8 months, and 11 days young. She was born to Dr. Joseph L. and Gertrude Campbell Stech. Kathleen will be remembered forever for her great strength, integrity and commitment to her family and her strength in God. Her Precious Faith has taken her to her Lord. She attended schools in Council Bluffs, IA, graduated from Benson High in Omaha, NE, and attended Mundeline College in Chicago, IL. Kathleen was a bookkeeper and business administrator for hospitals, restaurants and hotels. She belonged to Christ the King Church Guild in Omaha, LaSertoma Club of Omaha Bridge Club, Campfire Girls Leader and many organizations throughout her life. She was an active member at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church for the last nineteen years. Kathleen was preceded in death by her daughters Constance L. White and Roxanne M. Dozier; and sister, G. Joan Giovachini. She is survived by her loving family including children Anne L. Brannan of Tyler, Kathleen J. Cohen (Stanley) of Villa Park, CA, Patricia L. LaRandeau of Omaha, NE, Monte B. White, II (Kim) of Plano, Robert A. White (Patricia) of Tyler, and Joan E. Pieper of Carrollton; and her brother Dr. Joseph M. Stech of Andale, KS. Kathleen is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary will start at 6:00 PM and visitation will follow until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Magdalene Church, 18221 FM 2493, Flint, TX 75762, Boys Town, P O Box 6000, Boys Town, NE 68010 or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
