Kimberly Whitworth

Services for Kimberly Whitworth, 44, of Tyler will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Kemp Cemetery at 1:00 PM under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Whitworth passed away on March 7, 2008 at Henderson Memorial Hospital in Henderson. Mrs. Whitworth was born on August 19, 1963 in Roseville, California to Louis Leroy and Arvalene Barnett Cowen. She graduated from Newman Smith High School in Carrollton and went on to earn a degree as a Medical Assistant at M.C.I. She worked as a phlebotomist for Kaiser Permanente. Mrs. Whitworth moved to Tyler in 2002 and spent the last six years as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were her life. She also loved animals and caring for her plants. Mrs. Whitworth was preceded in death by her sister, Melanie Bridges; grandparents, Reginald and Arkle Mae Cowen and Thomas Barnett; and an aunt, Anabel Clark. She is survived by a loving family including her husband of six years, Jerry Whitworth of Tyler; three daughters, Elizabeth Dingler and husband Chad of Overton, Chassi Bumgardner and husband Chris of Kilgore and Misti Nix and husband Kevin of Henderson; two sons, Cameron Longshore of Tyler and David Whitworth and wife Keva of Tyler; mother and step-father, Arvalene and Richard Harris of Tyler; father and step-mother, Louis and Wanda Cowen of Dallas; sister, Michelle Sons of Howe; step-brother, Rick Anderson of Dallas; grandmother, Floy Barnett of Tyler; father and mother-in-law, Ken and Sharon Whitworth of Tyler; six grandchildren, Kaylee Dingler, Kyndle Dingler, Kelsie Dingler, Abby Whitworth, Austin Adams and Jonathan Nix; aunt, Sue Garrison of Tyler; niece, Sabrina Sons of Howe; nephews, Taylor and Jordan Anderson, both of Dallas, and Taylor and Zachary Tannehill, both of Tyler; and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Chad Dingler, Brad Soloman, Kevin Nix, Chris Bumgardner, David Whitworth, and Clint Coe. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, March 10, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, Tyler, Texas 75703.
