Larry Keith Denson

The funeral service celebrating the life of Larry Keith Denson will be on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 5:00 PM at Stewart Family Funeral Home with the Reverend Sam Deville officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Tyler. Larry, beloved husband, dad, Papaw and brother was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 21, 2014 after a courageous year long battle with cancer. He was born on September 8, 1952 in Palestine, Texas. He served honorably from 1972-74 in the United States Army Security Agency for the Nixon White House in Washington, D.C. He was married for 32 years to his devoted and loving wife, Sherri Muller Denson. He worked for Cannon Steel for 28 years as a Fabrication Manager. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and Harold Denson. Larry is survived by his wife Sherri Denson;son Cory Allen Denson and wife Shannon of Flint; daughter, Shannon McGee Hammond and husband John of Tyler; brothers, Terry and wife Tenney of Elkhart, Dennis and wife Lisa of Ft. Worth, Gary and wife Tommie of Hockley; stepmother, Kay Denson of Elkhart; and his grandchildren, Hudson and Jordan Hammond and Connor and Pierce Denson. Larry was known as the strong, no-nonsense man of few words who was always willing to help anyone in need. He was a big-hearted, generous man who was quick with his smile and words of advice. His strength of character and integrity gained him respect in both his personal and professional life. He enjoyed the outdoors and being at his homeplace in the country, working in his shop or cooking and relaxing with loved ones. Larry dearly loved his family and Lord and will truly be missed. Praise be to God for the gift of his life. Attending pallbearers; Jeremy Denson, Weston Denson, Sam Phariss, Jason Muller, Ryan Cannon and Garrick Muller and Honorary pallbearers; Mitchell Muller, Chris Muller and Justin Muller. Visitation will be at Stewart Family Funeral Home on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
