Lee Hardy Jr.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lee Hardy, a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Lee passed away peacefully, after a 12 year battle with Parkinson’s, on July 13, 2024, at the age of 72, surrounded by his family. Lee was born on June 15, 1952, in Marshall, TX. He met the love of his life, Carolyn, while attending college, and they were married on July 20, 1974. Together, they shared 50 wonderful years of marriage, filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Lee is survived by his devoted wife, Carolyn; his children, Kristin and Bobby Anthony, Trey and Mary Hardy and his cherished grandchildren, Alyssa, Reese, Carleigh, Lillian and Harrison. He is also survived by his brother, Kyle; in-laws, Frank and Susan Clark, Larry Wilkins, Steven and Karen Holloway; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved to spend time with. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Florence Hardy, sister Brenda Wilkins, Jack and Sally Holloway, as well as grandparents and cousins. Lee was a dedicated and hardworking man, spending 40 years as a pharmaceutical salesman. Outside of his career, Lee was an avid hunter, a talented fisherman, and a lover of the great outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time watching movies with his family, instilling in his children and grandchildren a love for cinema as well as nature and adventure. Lee’s patience, kindness, generosity, and unwavering support touched the lives of all who knew him. He was a man of great integrity, always willing to lend a helping hand and offer words of encouragement, with a huge smile on his face. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he impacted. A celebration of Lee’s life will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Pollard United Methodist in Tyler. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM with special refreshments following the service at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be offered to Pollard UMC in Lee’s memory. Lee Hardy will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones. May he rejoice in peace with a healthy body in Heaven.
