Lou Green

Services for Lou Burnett Green, 77 of Tyler, are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Sunday, May 1, 2005, at Rose Hill Mausoleum with Cassie Herrington and Chris Weiser presiding under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy., south Tyler, 75703. Mrs. Green passed away peacefully with her family and friends at her side on Thursday, April 28, 2005 at Hospice of East Texas. She was born to Richard Wesley and Dale Spencer Jeter Burnett on October 2, 1927 in Gladewater, Texas and lived in Tyler for the last three years. Mrs. Green previously resided in Magnolia and Hot Springs, Arkansas. Founder of the Magnolia Jr. Charity League and Charter Member of the Magnolia Boys Club, she was also member of the Elks Lodge of Hot Springs. In the Tyler area, she attended First Christian Church and was a member of Hollytree Country Club. Lou enjoyed reading, playing cards, and following the horse races. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Jack Rich, daughter, Amalia Leigh Weiser, an infant daughter, and grandson, Wes Weiser. Surviving loved ones include her husband of the last 13 years, Charles R. Green of Tyler; son, Chris Weiser and wife, Margo, of Magnolia, Arkansas; daughter, Cassie Herrington and husband, Mike of Tyler; grandchildren, Amalia Goodwin Wedell and husband, Lamar, and Katherine Weiser Caldwell and husband, Nathan of Dallas, and Kyle Christian Goodwin and Amanda Smithson of Tyler; sister, Janet Burnett Hill and husband, Bill, of Dallas; step-children, Karen Sayles, Bob Green, Cindy Gise, Doug Rich and families; step-grandchildren, Bry and Kearby Herrington and wife, Jennifer and family; and a number of loving nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Tom Anderson, Dr. Martin Blanchard, Bill Luther, Charles Modisette, Harris Nobles, Dr. Roy Smith, and Bob Washmon.
