Services for Lucille Vaughan, 89, Tyler, are scheduled for 10:00 am Monday, April 17, 2006, at Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Olive officiating. Burial will be in San Angelo, Texas at 10:00 am Tuesday at Lawnhaven Cemetery under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Lucille Vaughan passed away Friday, April 14, 2006, in Tyler. She was born on an Easter Sunday to the late Stuart E. and Sallie Wayne Gray on April 23, 1916 in Overton, Texas. Lucille passed away peacefully in Tyler, Texas on Good Friday with her loving family at her bedside. She met and married the love of her life J. W. Vaughan in Huntsville, Texas. They were married on October 5, 1933 and moved to San Angelo, Texas. Lucille retired as circulation manager from the West Texas Livestock Weekly in 1981 and moved to Tyler to be close to her daughter and her family. Our mother and grandmother was a faithful member of Marvin United Methodist Church and an active member of the Century Class until her health prevented her from attending. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband, two sisters and a brother. Lucille is survived by her loving family including her daughter, Susan Turner of Tyler; son, Stuart Vaughan and wife Sharon of Phoenix, AZ; granddaughters, Lara Miller and her husband Jeff of Tyler and Deborah Jenkins and her husband Steve of Salt Lake City, UT; grandson, David Vaughan and wife Stacy of Chandler, AZ; great-grandchildren, Spencer Reeves Vaughan and Michael Stuart Vaughan of Chandler, AZ and Morgan Leigh Miller of Tyler; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the loving care provided to our mother and grandmother by Charlie and Dianne Ferrell and their aides at Tender Loving Elderly Care and to Faye Campbell and the nursing staff at Trinity Mother Francis Hospital and Doctor Lee Ridenour. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30, Sunday evening at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy., south Tyler 75703. Memorials in honor of Mrs. Lucille Vaughan may be made to a charity of your choice.
