Mary Martin

Services for Mary Louise Martin, 69, of Arp, will be held on Friday, August 4, 2006 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Dale Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Cathedral In the Pines in Tyler under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Martin passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2006 in Tyler. She was born October 16, 1936 in Denton County, Texas to the late William Lloyd Stone, Sr. and Mary Lucille Johnson. She was an active member in the East Texas Pineywoods Cattlewoman's Association, a member of the Eastern Star, and a devoted member of the Friendly Baptist Church in Tyler. Mary was raised in the Fort Worth and Weatherford area while graduating from Brewer High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for Allied Waste Industries and retired as a bookkeeper and office manager for Crown Motor Company in 1999. Louise was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, and sister who enjoyed cooking and traveling and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Joe Stroupe; grandson, Cody Joe Smith, grandson, Benjamin Blake, Stroupe; step-son, Guy Martin; step-daughter, Sherrry Ashby. Louise is survived by her loving family including her husband of 12 years, N. L. "Bo" Martin; son, Jimmy Stroupe and wife Kathy of Arp, son, Earnest Stroupe and wife Jarvie of Arp; daughter, Debbie Slater and husband Jon of Tyler; step-daughter, Benylu Alford and husband David of Gladewater; granddaughter, Misty Herod and husband Scott of Fort Worth, granddaughter, Holly Smith of Tyler; grandson, McKenzie Stroupe of Arp, grandson, Kyle Smith of Tyler, grandson, Bobby Stroupe of Tyler, grandson, Brandon Stroupe of Arp, grandson, Seth Stroupe of Arp, grandson, Sam Stroupe of Arp; brother, Lloyd Stone, Jr. and wife Vickie of Gladewater, brother, James Edward Stone and wife Fran of Weatherford, brother, Billy Jack Stone of Weatherford; sister, Mae Beth Williams and husband Dooley of Boyd; step-grandchildren, Kandi Grammer of Rockwall, Kalina, Krista, Kyle, Kalyn Martin of Gladwater and Joel and Jayce Laws of Gladewater. Pallbearers will be Kyle Smith, Bobby Stroupe, Sam Stroupe, Brandon Stroupe, Seth Stroupe, McKenzie Stroupe, Scott Herod, and Aaron Schomerus. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.
