Services for Melissa "Missy" Ann Mitchell Rogers, 43, of Arlington are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Marvel officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Missy died, Saturday, July 21, 2007 at the Medical Center of Arlington in Arlington. She was born November 23, 1963 in Arlington, TX to CeCe Brotton. Missy was raised in the Roxton and Paris areas and graduated from Paris High School in 1982. She went on to attend Paris Beauty School and became a licensed beautician before she furthered her education at the Texas Technology Institute in Fort Worth with a focus on Computer Science. She was diagnosed with Lupus at the young age of 16. She worked for the Environmental Protection Agency in Dallas as an Inventory Control Specialist and enjoyed her work and all the life long friends she made over the years. Missy's passion in life was her dogs and playing Bingo, and her family will always remember her as a down to Earth and genuine person with a natural ability to "Love Life." She was preceded in death by her cousin, Chad Herd. Survivors include her loving mother, CeCe Brotton and husband Dan of Tyler; two brothers, Todd Mitchell and wife Teresa of Paris and Bill Brotton and wife Susan of Salem, OR; grandmother, Joanne Lusby of Arlington; two aunts, Karla Chapman and husband Robert of Winnsboro and Linda McCann and husband David of Midlothian; uncle, Rocky Lusby of Arlington; and numerous loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be Chadlee Mitchell, Heath Herd, Cass Chapman, Kord Chapman, Justin Lusby, Christopher Mitchell, Chip Herd, Mike Baumann, and Kenneth Boyce. A special "Thank You" to Medical Center of Arlington and their wonderful ICU Staff for the loving care given to Missy and her family. Visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the service at 12 noon, Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy., Tyler, Texas 75703.
