Patricia "Trish" Robinson

Services for Patricia “Trish” Robinson, of Bullard, Texas will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Southern Oaks Baptist Church with Dr. Brandon Holiski and Rev. Tony Garrett officiating. Mrs. Robinson passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024, in her home in Bullard, following a six-month battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving husband, daughters, and grandchildren. She was born November 6th, 1954 in Henderson, Texas to Robert H. Chasteen and Hazel Geraldine Riley Chasteen. Following her father’s call to the ministry, Trish and her family lived in Kermit, TX, Ft. Worth TX, and Lewisville, AL. Her parents settled in Longview, TX, where she met her future husband and they married in Longview in 1978. Trish and her young family lived in Webster, TX, then Eagan, MN, and back to Longview. In 1999, she and her family moved to Cedar Rapids, IA. While in Iowa, Trish rescued her very special, scruffy little ‘Cookie,’ a pug terrier mix. They were inseparable. In 2017, she moved with Lawrence to rural Southern Maryland. They purchased their Bullard retirement home in 2021 where she enjoyed her final years. Patricia loved to travel. Her many domestic adventures included a camping vacation to Wyoming and Montana with her young family. She also traveled to London and the Cotswolds in England, as well as to Bavaria in Germany. Trish was especially devoted to her mother, daughters and grandchildren, often traveling hundreds of miles on solo cross-country trips to be with them and provide special help when needed. Patricia was a member of Southern Oaks Baptist Church. She graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler, where she earned a degree in education. Her career included teaching various grade school classes at Christian Heritage Academy in Apple Valley, Minnesota, Grace Christian School in Longview, Texas, and Hughes Springs Elementary, in Hughes Springs, Texas, where she taught grade school music. Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Horace Chasteen and Hazel Geraldine Riley Chasteen. She is survived by her loving family including her husband Lawrence, brother Donald (Margarette) Chasteen, daughters Elizabeth (Thomas) Pino, Carol Robinson, grandchildren Leonard Kokontis, Haley Pino, and Scarlett Smith. Pallbearers will be Jack Faulkner, Dr. Nathan Green, Leonard Kokontis, Thomas Pino, James Robinson, Esq., and John Simon. Honorary Pallbearers are Donald Chasteen and John Robinson. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy., Tyler, TX 75703.
