Patsy "Pat" Sager

Services for Patsy Jo Sager, 69, of Tyler, will be on Sunday, June 14, 2015, at 2:30 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel, Tyler, with the Rev. Pike Wisner officiating. Burial will follow at Cathedral in the Pines in Tyler under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Pat went home to be with the Lord on June 10, 2015. She was born June 21, 1945, in Henderson, Texas, and is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Merline Daw Osburn, her brother, Thomas D. Osburn and her husband of 20 years, Tom D. Sager. Graduating from New London High School in 1963, Pat attended cosmetology school and worked as a beautician for several years. After the family moved to Tyler, she spent her time lovingly raising her two sons and being the best mother they could have ever asked for. The next phase of her life included working for many years at the Better Business Bureau of East Texas where she enjoyed building many friendships with her clients and fellow co-workers. In 1996, together with her late husband and the love of her life, Pat purchased Homes and Land Magazine of East Texas where they spent countless hours working side by side and enjoying every minute of it. Pat was a member of First Baptist Church of Tyler and leaves behind many dear friends and family members including her children, Phil and Jennifer Bane of Tyler, and Scott and Tracee Bane of Carrollton; grandchildren, Courtney and Whitney Bane of Tyler, and Brandon and Trevor Bane of Carrollton who loved and adored their “Mimi”. Also left behind is her faithful four-legged friend, Lizzie. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff and employees of the Olive Garden of Tyler as this was “Mimi & Bamps’ second home” and where many hours were spent by Mimi and the whole family. Pat was also blessed with a fantastic group of women that she looked forward to meeting with on Wednesday nights to play bridge. The family would also like to express its deepest thanks to Carolyn Moss for her many years of friendship and devotion as she has worked countless hours at Homes and Land Magazine even through her own recent hardships and losses of family members. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
