Services for Robert Nicholas Kemper, Jr., 51, of Tyler will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Monsignor Joe Strickland and Rev. Scott Wiley officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Palestine at 3:00 PM under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mr. Kemper passed away due to a tragic accident at home on September 14, 2011 in Tyler. He was born on October 3, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois to Robert Nicholas Kemper, Sr. and Anne Katherine Burke Kemper. Mr. Kemper was a graduate of St. Paul High School in Covington, Louisiana, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Baylor University. He was the owner of Rose Renovations in Tyler and was a futures trader. He was a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Tyler. Mr. Kemper was a devoted and loyal husband, father, son, brother and friend who loved the Lord and left behind a legacy of faith. His treasures on earth were his family, especially when they could travel together. Mr. Kemper was preceded in death by his father, Robert Kemper, Sr.; his daughter, Kristina Marie Kemper; brother, Michael Kemper; and sister, Patricia Kemper. He is survived by a loving family including his devoted wife of 29 years, Rebecca Jordan Kemper of Tyler; his mother, Anne Kemper of San Antonio; his daughter, Rachel Kemper of Tyler; his son, Kurtis Kemper of Tyler; sisters, Katherine Willett of Atlanta, Georgia, Mary Kemper-Gonzalez and husband Joe of San Antonio, Annemarie Roy and husband Michael of Denver, Colorado; brother, Arthur Kemper and wife Elizabeth of Miami Lakes, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Arthur Kemper, David Jordan Craig Mercer, Michael Miller, Michael Roy, Joe Gonzalez, Joey Seeber, and Henri Fuselier. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 16, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
