Ronnie Bouldin

Ronnie Bouldin, first of three children to parents Lawrence Truman and Cora Lee (Hughes) Bouldin on a small farm outside of Sulphur Springs, Texas on July 11, 1938. He graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1955 and received his Bachelor of Business degree from East Texas State University (Texas A&M University) in Commerce, Texas in 1959. In 1960 Ronnie went to work for Kraft Foods in Garland, Texas. Ronnie and Peggy married in August 1963 and lived in Garland until 1971 when Ron was transferred to Kraft’s Chicago headquarters. While there he received his MBA from the University of Chicago. They lived in Arlington Heights, IL, a suburb of Chicago, until retiring in 1996. They returned to Texas in 1998. They both were very active in Arlington Countryside Church for 25 years. Ron was a deacon, on the finance committee, co-leader of the Boys Athletic Clubs, usher, and greeter. Ronnie and Peggy opened their home weekly to a small group Bible study for many years. Ronnie and Peggy joined Green Acres Baptist Church in 2001 where they became active members of the Celebration Class. They became part of the First Touch Outreach Sunday night visitation and were greeters in the Bethany Suite on Sunday mornings. Ronnie was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels of East Texas for 25 years. He was in the Texas National Guard, USANG, for two and a half years being activated/mobilized during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Ron is predeceased by his parents, sister, Nina Gregg and brother, Randal Bouldin. He is survived by his wife Peggy; son Brian Bouldin (Victoria); Olivia and Brett Bouldin of Rockwall, TX; son Brad Bouldin; twin grandsons Jack and Charlie, Sarah Grace Bouldin of Keller, TX; nephew Pitney Gregg (Johnny) of Dallas, TX. Pallbearers are Brian Bouldin, Brad Bouldin, Brett Bouldin, Jack Bouldin, Charles Bouldin, and Pitney Gregg. Services for Ronnie will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Dr. David Dykes officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Sulphur Springs City Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to service.
