Ruth Miller

Services for Mrs. Ruth N. Miller, 76, of Tyler, will be held on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 1:30 PM at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Kim Beckham officiating. Burial will follow at Cathedral in the Pines Memorial Garden Cemetery under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Miller passed away November 1, 2013 in Tyler. She was born October 28, 1937 in Ben Wheeler to Kenneth A. and Lynne Beggs. Ruth graduated from Tyler High School. She married Carl McDougal and became a homemaker. Unto that union were born three loving children, James Kenneth McDougal, Lisa Kim McDougal Loden and Howard Keith McDougal. Carl passed away in October of 1975 after a long illness. On December 4, 1976, Ruth married James A. Miller. He had three children as well; James Robert Miller, Lisa Darlene Miller Fritcher and Albert Lindsey Miller. Ruth worked in the Women’s Missionary Society, the Junior High Sunday School department and Fellowship Adult Sunday School class at Central Baptist Church for many years until 2007 when health problems intervened. Ruth became a member of Central Baptist Church when she was 9 years old and faithfully continued for the next 67 years. Ruth is survived by her loving family including her husband James A. Miller; sons, Jimmy McDougal, Robert Miller and wife Suzi, Keith McDougal and wife Terri, and Lindsey Miller and wife Cindy; daughters, Kim McDougal Loden and husband Chris and Lisa Fritcher; grandchildren, Justin Livingston, Dustin McDougal, Kyle McDougal, Russell Fritcher, Matthew McDougal, Jeremy Miller, Austin Miller, Casey Miller, Stephanie Loden, Jennifer Loden Wilson, Catherine Loden, Kari McDougal, and Kaylee Miller; and great-grandchildren, Jude Michael Wilson, Kayden Edwardo Fritcher, Jude Beckham Fritcher, Brantley Michael Groves and Lily Anne McDougal. She is also survived by many other friends and relatives. She especially loved her caregiver and friend, Maria Monsivais. Pallbearers will be Dustin McDougal, Kyle McDougal, Chris Loden, Kevin Fritcher, Justin Livingston and Russell Fritcher. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Fellowship Sunday School class at Central Baptist Church. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 –6:00 PM on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
