Services for Virginia Lea Chapman, 84, of Bullard will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, November 16, 2007 at Highland Presbyterian Church in Tyler with Rev. Scott Mackey officiating. Burial will follow in Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Chapman passed away on November 13, 2007 at her home in Bullard. She was born on December 28, 1922 in Ft. Stockton to the late Cleo and Mary Thomson McKenzie. She was a graduate of Ft. Stockton High School and attended Tarleton College in Stephenville. Mrs. Chapman was a self-employed real estate investor. She was an active member of Highland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Chapman was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Bill E. McKenzie, Roy N. McKenzie, C.R. McKenzie and Bruce T. McKenzie; and great-grandchildren Aubrey Clayton and Christina McKenzie Mires. She is survived by a loving family including her husband of 52 years, William G. Chapman of Bullard; two sons Robert "Mike" Fairbank of Winona and Gregg L. Fairbank and wife, Donna, of Whitehouse; two daughters Mary Fairbank Cain and husband, Victor, of Tyler and Rebecca Chapman Griffith and husband, Johnny, of Bullard; two brothers Lawrence B. "Buster" McKenzie and wife, Barbara, of Kerrville and Richard "Gregg" McKenzie and wife, Lou Ann, of Ft. Stockton; grandchildren Michael, Charles and Ryan Fairbank, Kyle and Stacey Cain, Kathleen and Chris Mires, Jennifer and Trevor Hyde, Amy and Ralph Bazan, Lea Ann Fairbank, James and Heather Griffith, Jeff Griffith, John and Lindsey Griffith, Joe Griffith, and Jessica and Bengi Waldrum; great-grandchildren Tyler, Alexa and Janssen Cain, Weston, Wyatt, Cooper and Kennedy Mires, Treves and Talan Hyde, Hannah, Emma, Jenna, Gretta and Ariyanna Griffith and Aidan Waldrum. Pallbearers will be Kyle Cain, James Griffith, Jeff Griffith, John Griffith, Joe Griffith and Ryan Fairbank. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Stewart, Bill Sloan, Bob McKnight, Alex Orr, Dawson Wells, Jim Robards, Rob Bingham, Robin Farrell, and The "Nooners". Visitation is scheduled for 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, Tyler, Texas 75703.
