October 11, 1940 - June 27, 2020
Beverly Sue Wilson Crozier of Tyler passed away June 27, 2020 at the age of 79 after a battle with mesothelioma. When diagnosed four years ago, Beverly adopted the motto “God’s timing is perfect timing,” and she trusted God with the rest of her days. Beverly lived a life of love and devotion to her family. She was married to her best friend in life, Don, and with grateful hearts they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on June 3, 2020. She and Don were proud of their business, Analytical Environmental Laboratory in Tyler, where she worked as a bookkeeper; however, Beverly always placed family as her highest priority. She most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, telling a good story, reading, and expressing her creative artistry through sewing and knitting. Beverly was born October 11, 1940 in Lawton, Oklahoma and grew up in Tulsa. She was a graduate of Will Rogers High School and later attended Tulsa University, Tyler Junior College, and UT Tyler. Beverly is survived by her husband, Don; sons, Brent Crozier and wife Ling of Tyler; Kent Crozier and wife Vicki of Tyler; and daughter, Lori and husband Keith Boles of McGregor. She was affectionately known as Grammy and MeMaw to her grandchildren: Callie Crozier, Levi, Luke, Elizabeth, and Lily Crozier, and Brett Boles and wife Shelby, Blake Boles, and Andrew Boles. She is also survived by her brother, James and his wife Cherie as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Woodrow and Maybelle Tacker Wilson and her sister, Debra Thompson. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Hospice of East Texas and Texas Oncology for their loving care of Beverly during the last year. A private graveside service to celebrate her life will take place at Rose Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Phil Ketcham officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home in Tyler. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to The Hospice of East Texas Foundation, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, TX 75701; Campus Crusade for Christ at www.cru.org.; or Eden Mission at www.edenmission.net. Beverly’s family takes comfort in the words she quoted to her granddaughter Lily from the 23rd Psalm, the first Bible verses Beverly memorized as a child: “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He leads me beside the still waters. . . Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me. Your rod and staff, they comfort me. . . Surely goodness and mercy will follow me, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Beverly came to know Jesus as her good Shepherd at the age of 16 and was baptized to show her decision to follow Him. She leaves faith as a legacy for the next generation. What a great comfort to know that one day her entire family will be reunited in heaven … in just the blink of an eye.
