Carolyn Ruth Jackson

July 8, 1939 - March 3, 2022

Carolyn Ruth Jackson was born Carolyn Ruth Hodges on July 8th, 1939 To Roland and Geneva Hodges in Dallas, Texas. Carolyn graduated from Garland High School, and later attended Dallas Baptist University where she received her degree in bookkeeping. Carolyn was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and a friend to everyone she knew. Carolyn went to her Heavenly home on March 3rd surrounded by her family, who held her hands and kissed her into the Kingdom of our Lord. In her last years Carolyn lived in Mississippi, close to the white sandy beaches she loved so much. One of her favorite things to do was park on the beach while eating lunch and toss French fries to the Seagulls out her car window. She loved to watch them hover overhead and hear them call while looking out at the water. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Meloney Tucker and husband Paul, her son Don Holmes and wife Michelle, grandchildren Leah, Leslie, Sarah, Cameron, Kinsley, Haley, Jeremy, great grandchildren Matthew, Megan, Miles, Emily, Edward, Colton, Austin, Candice and Mason, her sisters Gloria and Alicia and her brother Jerry and wife Mary, as well as many others she considered family and loved dearly. Carolyn is preceded by husbands Don Holmes and Jim Carroll, son Roland Holmes, father Roland Hodges, mother Geneva Hodges, sisters Jan Hickman and Paula Unger, brothers in law Harold Davidson and Jackie Hickman.
