A life so gracefully lived deserves to be gratefully remembered. Please join us to celebrate the life of Cynthia Lynnette Gossett, 52, of Tyler, Texas. On Saturday, May 28, 2022, services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Heights Church in Tyler, Texas. The interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Tyler, Texas, under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Cynthia Lynnette Gossett was born in Houston, Texas, to the proud and loving parents of Sherman and Delois Pinchback. She accepted Christ early and united with Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church. She later joined the Brookhollow Baptist Church (The Church Without Walls) and finished her spiritual journey at Rose Heights Church, under the leadership of Pastor Doug Anderson. Cynthia received her formal education at Booker T. Washington High School (Class of 1988) in Houston, Texas. She received her bachelor's degree in Education from LeTourneau University, which actively sought to prepare Christ-like educators to teach wherever they were called. Cynthia answered her call to teach at Bonner Elementary School (Tyler ISD) and Chandler Elementary School (Kilgore ISD). On March 11, 2000, in Tyler, Texas, Cynthia united in marriage with Gerald D. Gossett. Their loving union was blessed with three sons, Ger'Kyle, Ger'Caleb, and Jer'Micah. She enjoyed cooking, baking, journaling, reading, playing Wordscapes, Senior Adult Sunday School, Women's Bible study, and spending time with her family, friends, and grandchildren. Cynthia entered eternal rest on May 25, 2022. She was preceded in death by her mother, Delois Pinchback, her grandparents, Ervin and Elsie M. Gipson, one brother, David Fulton, her dad in love, I.W. Gossett, and bonus mom, Nora Pinchback. She leaves beautiful memories behind with her devoted husband of twenty-two years, Gerald D. Gossett; three sons, Ger'Kyle Gossett (Yvette), Ger'Caleb, and Jer'Micah Gossett; her dear father, Sherman Pinchback; three brothers, Calvin Vinson, Albert Johnson, and Sherman Porter (Toscha); two sisters, Chandra Taylor (Michael) and Lynnette Grays; one beloved god-daughter, Deandrea Rogers; two beautiful granddaughters, Z’Ryah and Kyra Gossett; devoted mother in love, Mrs. Jeraldine Gossett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends, and church family.
