Dorothy Schweisberger, born June 29, 1926 in Mosinsee, Wisconsin returned to our Lord December 17, 2021 at Hospice Home Place in Tyler, Texas at 95 ½ years old. She was lovingly cared for by her daughter CJ for the last 9 years and recently with help of her daughter Rose. Her life will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Cathedral on Front Street and Broadway in Tyler, Texas on Thursday January 6th at 11 am, with lunch reception to follow. All are invited. She was a loving mother of six children. Daughters, Carolyn (CJ) Stigall, Lorraine Schulte and Rose Saidler, all of Texas. Sons, Michael Willborn in Florida, Gregory Willborn in Arizona, Jeffery Willborn in Wisconsin, 16 grandchildren, plus numerous great and great-great grandchildren. As well as many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard. She has 3 surviving sisters, Ruth Burdiki in Florida, Norma Jean King and Phyllis Bornheimer, both in Wisconsin. All witnessed her lifelong musical talent from designing her own guitar from a cigar box and strings during the depression to teaching herself 12 different stringed instruments. She performed for the Milwaukee Symphonic Orchestra playing cello and played numerous instruments in 3 other orchestras. At 95, she was teaching herself piano and keyboard. She was a member of The Immaculate Conception Cathedral where she was known as “The Harmonica Playing Grandma”. She always carried a harmonica and loved to entertain and tell jokes at every opportunity. Her many harmonicas are now treasured keepsakes.
