Jean Marie Quick

Jean Marie Quick, 65, passed away peacefully at home Thursday May 5, 2022 in Brownsboro, Texas. She was born April 10, 1957 in Alton, Illinois to Stanley and Juanita Mintert. Jean grew up in St. Charles County, Missouri. She graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1979 with a BS in Biology. She moved to Dallas, Texas to work as a sales rep for Thompson Hayward Chemical Company. She also attended medical school there to work towards becoming a physician’s assistant. She met Garry Quick who owned Quickmove Moving Company in 1981, and they married May 1, 1982. They moved to Tyler where she received her master’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas Tyler. She did her internship at the Andrews Center in Mineola under Dr. Louise Troth. She started her practice at East Texas Mental Health Associates in 1996. She established herself in private practice in Tyler counseling to hundreds over the past 26 years. Preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Juanita Mintert; her sister-in-law, Kaira Quick and brother-in-law, Scott Maxson. She is survived by her husband, Garry Quick of Brownsboro, Texas; their son, Andrew Quick, his wife, Ciara and granddaughter, Lilly Quick of Tyler; sister, Deborah Mintert of St. Charles, Missouri; brother, Michael, his wife, Carla Sue Mintert; their son, Eric, his wife, Whitney Mintert, their 2 children and their daughter, Megan, her husband, Darrell Campbell, their 3 children, all of St. Charles, MO; brother-in law, Jerry Quick, his daughter, Jennifer, her son, Jacob, his son, Kyle, wife, Brittany all of Austin, Texas; Larry Quick, of Ft. Pierce, FL, his son, Lee of Palm Coast, FL and son, Steve, his 3 children of West Palm Beach, FL; brother-in-law, John Maxson, his son, Brett and daughter, Leslie of League City, Texas. Memorial service will be 2:00 Monday, May 9, 2022 at Grace Community Church, 3215 Old Jacksonville Highway, Tyler, Texas 75701.
