Kathy Jean Tucker

November 28, 1945 - February 18, 2022

Services for Kathy Jean Tucker, 76, of Tyler, are scheduled for Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Chandler with Rev. Bryan Harkness officiating. Burial will be in the Chandler Memorial Cemetery immediately following the service, under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home, Tyler. Kathy passed away on February 18, 2022, in Tyler, surrounded by loved ones after a lengthy illness. Kathy was born November 28, 1945, in Tyler to Raymond Earl Jacobson, Sr. and Rose Evelyn Ellis Jacobson. She grew up in Chandler and graduated from Athens High School where she met her husband Joe. They were married in August 1966 in Chandler and were married for 41 years until Joe’s passing in 2007. Kathy is survived by two sons and one daughter, Jeff and Denise Tucker of Plano, Tim and Carolyn Tucker of Tyler, and Leigh Ann and Scot Davis of Rockwall. Additional survivors include seven grandchildren, Emma, Meleah, Kate, Mallory, Joel, Logan and Makenzie who all knew her as their “Tita,” siblings Steve Jacobson and Karen Johnston, one aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Kathy was also preceded in death by both parents, daughter in law, Amy Tucker, granddaughter Grace Tucker and brother Raymond Jacobson. Pallbearers will be Chad Amburg, David Dickerson, Norm Grail, Wade Jacobson, Jerome Hill and Joey Morris.
