Kyle Jones Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kyle Jones, 48, of Tyler, Texas was taken home to Heaven on July 19, 2022. Kyle was born in 1974 to Joe and Kathy Jones. He grew up in Tyler, Texas, and left Tyler to attend Texas Tech University where he loved it so much that he decided to extend his stay for several years. Kyle loved all things food related and thoroughly enjoyed his job at Cisco/Acosta which involved his two favorite things, talking about food and fellowshipping with people. Kyle was a beloved son who loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed Sunday dinners and was famous for his homemade mac-n-cheese. It was a requirement of every family function and the family was heartbroken if he did not bring his signature dish. Kyle was a devoted single father to his son, Tye, and loved spending time with him, playing video games, cooking, going to the movies, and going to Ranger games! He also considered himself to be a second father to Kylee Freeman and loved spending time with his son’s siblings as well. Kyle was a loving brother and leaves an unimaginable void that we don’t quite know yet how we will manage. We will miss his random inappropriate texts, his goofy phone calls, and his hilarious (horrible) dance moves. We aren’t quite sure how we will move forward without talking food, sports, and old 80’s and 90's movies with our favorite person. Kyle was a loyal boyfriend who not only loved his girlfriend immensely but also loved her girls as if they were his own. Kyle was an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and he was hands down the favorite. Kyle never let an opportunity go by to not jump in on the fun, whether it be riding a hoverboard, giving wet willies or showing up for their games and/or events. Kyle would want it noted that he was a two-time champ of his fantasy football league, Dereliction, and he totally believed he would steal the crown from his brother this year. Last, but not least, Kyle was a friend to all. There is not a soul in the world that cannot vouch for how amazingly kind he was. Kyle believed in treating everyone with dignity and respect, never missing the chance to talk to someone about their day or ask how they were doing. His smile not only lit up a room but truly lit up the entire world. Known for his incredible smile, Kyle was also well known for his horrible dad jokes that he felt the need to tell over and over, no matter if he was the only one who thought they were funny. He was very skilled at making his Southern accent more drawn out if there happened to be a pretty lady around. All that were privileged enough to know Kyle knew that he was the most genuine and compassionate human being. He truly encompassed what selfless kindness and servanthood looked like. Kyle was eagerly met at Heaven's gates by his grandparents, momma, two nephews, and other special family members and friends. Kyle left behind his father and bonus mom Joe and Debbie Jones of Tyler; son Tye Weldon Jones and his sister Kylee Rees Freeman of Whitehouse; Uncle Mike Jones of Tyler; siblings, Christopher and wife Lesley Jones of Tyler, Allison Jones Clark (his favorite) and husband Brian Clark of McKinney, Bonnie Pehl and husband Josh Pehl of Tyler, Brian Hotman and wife Carin Hotman of Tyler, and Chris Hotman of Whitehouse; numerous nieces and nephews who absolutely adored him; devoted girlfriend Heather Pickett of Tyler; too many friends to mention but a special partner in crime and best friend since pre-school, Andy Beeler of Lindale. “Do things for people not because of who they are or what they do in return, but because of who you are.” Harold S.
