Services for Lee Royce Whitecotton, 86 years old, of Bullard, TX will be held on Saturday, February 19th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy, Tyler, TX with Douglas DuPree and Jake Sledge officiating. Burial will follow at Bullard Cemetery, FM 344 in Bullard, TX under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mr. Lee Royce Whitecotton passed away Tuesday, February 15th, 2022 in Tyler, TX. He was born December 10, 1935 in Hastings, Oklahoma to Lee Berry Whitecotton and Eva Houchins Whitecotton. Lee was a member of Bullard Church of Christ and held a position of eldership for several years. He graduated from Dumas High School, in Dumas, TX. He was a construction contractor in Amarillo, TX and Charlotte, NC for most of his career. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Eva Whitecotton; brothers, Levert Whitecotton, Darnell Whitecotton, and Edwin Whitecotton; sisters, Erbie Whitecotton, Allene Brittain and Doralynn Davis. He is survived by his loving family including wife, Edna Ballard Whitecotton; sons, Danny Whitecotton (Martha) and Gary Whitecotton (Annette) both of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Leah Barton (Brad) of Tyler, TX; grandchildren, Bridgett Kirschbaum (Aaron), Brandie Halsell (Matt), Aaron Whitecotton (Heather), Nicole Dyck (Pete), Mandy Whitecotton, Lauren Whitecotton (Chris), Blain Barton, Hannah Plyler, Laura Barton; and 15 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Darvin Whitecotton of Hastings, OK.. Pallbearers will be Ulis Whitecotton, Garrett Shelton, Blain Barton, Aaron Kirschbaum, Matt Halsell, Bruce Stripling, Roy Holland and Scott Calloway. Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Whitecotton, Kade Hale, Noah Butler. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18th, 2022 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway in Tyler.
