Services for Ruby Lucille Lamb, 88, of Tyler will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery near Whitehouse, under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Ruby passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 in Tyler. She was born January 15, 1932 in Tyler to Clarence and Ellie Dark Ivy. She met her husband in 1950 and they were married until his death just days before their 65th anniversary. Ruby was preceded in death by William, by her brother, Maurise Ivy and sister, Junie Green. She is survived by her loving family including children: Bill Lamb (Debbie) of Colorado Springs, CO; Bob Lamb (Carla) of Plano, TX; and daughter, Carol Lamb (Mike Napier) of Alamo, CA. She has 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Freeda Holt and Sherion Strickland. Ruby and Bill were longtime members of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Walnut Grove. While Bill helped the Texas Baptist Builders in constructing churches, Ruby often helped prepare and serve meals for the builders. They enjoyed traveling in their RV, especially when it involved seeing their grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2020 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
