Brandon David Lister

Brandon David Lister of Coppell, TX passed away January 17, 2026 due to injuries from a car crash, and is now in the arms of his Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Brandon was born November 11, 1992 to Brian and Melody (Kelley) Lister of Coppell, TX, and was the first grandchild for both families. As a child, he entertained everyone with his smile and playfulness, and could sing beautifully. The birth of his little brother Jason gave him his forever best friend. He loved to play ball outside with Brian, Jason and neighborhood friends. Barbeques with friends, family reunions, and trips to his grandparents’ homes in East Texas were always special times. He enjoyed playing all sports stretching from Youth leagues where Brian was often a coach, to school sports through his Senior year at Coppell High School. Brandon had a tender heart for children, and he doted on his brother and little cousins. He worked for the YMCA in summer and after-school programs, and often helped Melody teach Sunday School classes. After high school, Brandon attended Blinn College and Texas State University. He found his talent in working with financial institutions by starting out his career at Mobility Credit Union (previously IBM SW Credit Union), then working as an account representative at Capital One, TD Ameritrade, Schwab, and Avantax / Cetera. Brandon had a cheerful, respectful, happy personality that drew others to him. He enjoyed sports statistics, books about ancient civilizations, swimming and diving, and family vacations, especially Hawaii. His sidekick pups Roscoe and Snoopy went everywhere with him. His love for his savior Christ Jesus came from the support and teachings of his family, Riverside Church of Christ and Valley Ranch Baptist Church in Coppell. He will be missed so much for his tenderness, friendship, laughter, quick wit, funny stories and the love he shared with all of us. In addition to his parents and brother Jason, Brandon is survived by his grandparents, Jerry and JoAnn Kelley of Hideaway, TX, Judy (West) Kelley of Coppell, TX and Hal and Margie Lister of Flint, TX. Also, aunts and uncles Steve Lister, Patrick and Lori Lister, Jimmy and Karen Clark, Glenn and Jennifer Pittman, and Jeff and Lisa Hazelwood. Cousins Cooper Clark, Alex and Kennedy (Clark) Klepac, Callie Pittman, Clay Pittman, Jack Clark, Morgan Hazelwood and Maddie Hazelwood, as well as close extended family aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents and several close friends. The family is so grateful for your prayers and words of support. Everyone is welcome to both memorials.
