Denise A. Saleh

A celebration of Denise’s life will be held at 10 am July 20, 2024, Rose Lawn Cemetery, 2003 Blue Mountain Blvd, Tyler TX 75703, and a luncheon at Immaculate Conception Cathedral center 423 S. Broadway, Tyler TX 75702 at 1 pm. Denise A. Saleh, 68, passed away on July 3, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. Born on December 31, 1955, in Tyler, she remained a lifelong resident and pillar of her community. Denise was a generous soul who dedicated much of her time to volunteering. She was heavily involved with Therapet and Greyhounds Unlimited, where she helped countless dogs find loving homes. Denise always prioritized her family and was the home her son's friends would gravitate to. Her commitment extended to teaching Sunday school at St. Gregory and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Tyler. Denise went to Robert E Lee then graduated from Texas State Technical Institute in Waco and pursued a career as a graphic commercial artist at East Texas Engraving. Beyond her professional life, Denise was a private artist known for her contemporary fine art and cherished pet portraits. Her vibrant use of color and keen eye for style also made her a sought-after consultant for home decor and remodeling projects. A devoted wife and mother, Denise is survived by her husband of 46 years, Danny; sons, Simon and his wife Autumn, and Evan; sister, Monica Haywood; nieces, Amber Boyett and her husband Steve, Amanda Reyes and husband Sergio; nephew, Kelly McPherson and his wife Miriam; and great-nieces, Zoe Greene and her husband Cullon, Isabella Reyes and fiance Sam Garcia, and Savana Reyes. She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Fannie McCorkle; sisters, Dolores Parish and Gale Mcpherson, nephews Pete and Bart Parish. The family wants to thank the Angels of Mercy at Hospice of East Texas for their compassion and expertise in caring for Denise and the serene environment it extends. Denise’s life and legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her, leaving a lasting imprint on both her community and the arts.
