Services for Eldon Wayne McCaslin, 60, of Richardson, are scheduled for Friday, June 27, 2007 at 2:30 PM at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Shamblin officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mr. McCaslin died on July 24, 2007 at his home in Richardson. He was born on February 9, 1947 in Tyler to the late Frances and Arthur McCaslin. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Richardson. Mr. McCaslin graduated from John Tyler High School in 1965. He went on to complete an Associate's Degree at Tyler Junior College, and then a degree in technical programming at the University Computing Corporation. He worked as a database systems analyst for Aviall, Inc. in Dallas and retired in 2005 after 35 years of service. Mr. McCaslin was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Tommy Tomlinson. Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Peggy Tomlinson McCaslin of Richardson; one son, Matt, and wife, Shelly Roper-McCaslin; two grandchildren, Claire and Trevor McCaslin; one sister, Carolyn, and husband, Edwin Bell; one brother, Gary, and wife, Jan McCaslin; mother-in-law, Claudella Tomlinson; nieces and nephews, Megan and Gracie McCaslin, Tracy and Drew Fielder and children Zachary, Brandon and Mamie, and Mandy and David Patty and children, Audrey, Charlotte and Luke. Pallbearers will be Doug Harris, Buddy Smith, Donnie Gentry, Ira Tunnell, Eddie Tunnell, Lee Tunnell, Troy Hunter, Jeff Taylor, Tim Grant, Buddy Hill and Ronnie Hill. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Kitchens, Johnny Smith, Doug Smith, Ed Stephenson, Burrows Grant Taylor, Bill Hardman, Cecil Hulsey, Tilmon Deaton, and Pat James. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 26, 2007 from 6:00 ? 8:00 PM at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy., Tyler, Texas 75703.
