Jeanetta Daily Caddy

Jeanetta Lorene Daily Caddy, 85, passed away on August 8, 2023 in Tyler, Texas. Jeanetta was born on May 22, 1938 to Wilson and Nona (Jones) Daily in Sparkman, Arkansas, where she gained her foundations of faith and family. Jeanetta married her husband of 64 years, Jerry Caddy, in 1957 and welcomed their only child, Rod, in 1958 while living in Dallas, Texas. For Jeanetta, life was a gift to be lived to its fullest! While she appeared to be the quieter partner in her marriage, her passions spoke volumes. She was a professional who managed the accounting of the family businesses. She envisioned and planned travel adventures for the family, attending to every detail so that everyone had an experience to remember. She was a mighty Mahjong player, and when any game was played on a family game night, she showed no mercy in delivering the final blow to her opponents! She loved church, friends, Birthday Lunches, the family farm in Golden and its many animal characters. Cooking and baking were among Jeanetta’s gifts, as was decorating any space to reflect a luxurious yet welcoming and comfortable style. When Jeanetta assumed the role of “Grams” in 1992, her true calling may have been achieved! She and her only grandchild, Hallie, shared many traits and gifts, summers in Colorado, travel to any inviting place, love of jewelry and makeup, and were “two peas in a pod.” Jeanetta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Herbert Daily. She is survived by her son, Rod (Deborah) of Fort Worth, Texas, her granddaughter, Hallie Caddy (Chaz Goad) of Nashville, Tennessee, a brother Philip Daily (Cindy) of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, sister-in-law, Patricia Waite of Lindale, Texas; many special nieces and nephews, extended family and a host of dear friends throughout the country. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 19, at 2:00 PM at Stewart Funeral Chapel in Tyler. Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM. Feel free to wear a splash of red to Jeanetta’s service, it was her favorite color and would certainly have made her smile!
