Kenneth Francis McRae III A memorial service for Kenneth Francis McRae III, (78), of Tyler will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Pastor David O. Dykes officiating. Visitation is scheduled following the service on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, Tyler. Ken was born July 26, 1946, in Canton, Mississippi to Kenneth Francis McRae II and Sara Stafford McRae. He passed away on October 9, 2024, in Tyler and now in the loving arms of God. Ken graduated from Neville High School and received both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Business Administration from Northeast Louisiana University where he was member of Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity, president of the MBA Association, and a statistics graduate assistant. He also earned his private pilot’s license and had many exciting stories to tell from those years. From 1972 to 1974, Ken served as First Lieutenant in the United States Army. While attending Signal Corps School in Augusta, Georgia, he met his loving wife, Beverly, in a church group. Ken’s sales career began with Reynolds and Reynolds in New Orleans, Louisiana. He found Tyler to be a great town to raise a family and moved there with Beverly in 1978 to pursue a career in medical sales. In 1981, he welcomed his only child, Mindy Kay. He later started his company Pulse Medical Inc, where he sold, installed, and repaired telemetry and medical equipment in hospitals all over Texas and Louisiana. He was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher of two-year olds in his earlier years. As a lifelong learner, Ken pursued many interests. He was a voracious reader who enjoyed reading for pleasure and knowledge. His hobbies included learning about new things, writing books, woodworking, refinishing furniture, gardening, tennis, fishing and flying throughout his life. He was generous with his time, always helping others. Ken was a man of faith and enjoyed his weekly conversations with the dear friends he had. He cherished his wife, Beverly, and daughter, Mindy Kay. Kenneth is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Beverly, of Tyler; daughter, Mindy Kay McRae Broadbent and her husband Alex, of Dallas, TX. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dan McRae, mother, Sara Stafford McRae, and dad, Kenneth Francis McRae II. Post Celebration at The Grove: 3500 Old Jacksonville Hwy, Tyler, TX 75701
