Lisa Safford

On Sunday December 2, 2018 Marilisa Frigo Safford (Lisa), loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 66. Lisa was born December 17, 1951 in Verona, Italy to Livio Hermes Frigo and Dolores Ernestina Guarnieri. Lisa resided in Bullard, Texas, at Eagles Bluff C/C. A Requiem Mass will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Flint, Texas. Father James Rowland will be officiating with assistance from Father Tim Kelly. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018 with a Rosary following at 7:00 p.m. in the Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler, Texas. Lisa was surrounded by family as she left us to return to our Heavenly Father. Lisa never gave up her fight with cancer, as she was so full of life, always smiling and sharing her positive energy with everyone. She will be dancing in heaven with the angels. Lisa was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Flint, Texas. She was also a Board Member of Crystal Ballroom Dance Club, Board Member of The East Texas Symphony Orchestra, President for 2 years of the Tyler Executive Women’s Network, member of The Women’s Symphony League, member of The Palestine Community Action Fund, Women’s Fund of Smith County, Harvey Women’s Club in Palestine, Member of Tyler Civic Theater, and a member of Rotary International. She graduated from SHAPE American High school in Mons, Belgium in 1968, and studied Foreign Languages at Institut Libre Marie Haps Bruxelles, in Brussels, Belgium. Lisa began her career as an interpreter for SHAPE in Mons, Belgium, speaking French, English, German and Italian. Before Lisa passed, she held the position of Executive Vice President, Financial Planner with UBS Financial Services. Lisa was preceded in death by her mother Dolores Ernestina Stuckert; her father, Livio Hermes Frigo; and her step-father, Walter Paul Stuckert. She is survived by her loving family including her grateful and loving husband, Ron; her daughter, Stephanie Birk and husband Troy; her son, David Stanton and wife Danielle; and step-daughter, Michelle Safford. Grandchildren include Ross Rampy, Scout Birk, Sophia Stanton, CJ and Isabella Rokitta, and Jonathan Keck. Lisa is also survived by her sisters, Gretel and Katherine Stuckert of Brussels, Belgium. Pallbearers will be Mike Sabota, Zach Sabota, Troy Birk, Ross Rampy, Roy Stark, and Nicklas Aherns. Honorary pallbearers will be Knights of Columbus. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to East Texas Symphony Orchestra, 107 E. Erwin St., Tyler, TX 75702; Women’s Fund of Smith County, 4908 Hightech Dr., Tyler, TX 75703; The Palestine Community Action Fund, P.O.
