Mary R. Lambert

Services for Mary R. Lambert, 76, of Tyler, will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Anthony Sizemore and Dr. Charles Dodson officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Lambert passed away March 2, 2013 at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. She was born December 8, 1936 in Sulphur Springs to Charles Clinton and Cora Myrtle McKenzie Hanes. Mary was a graduate of Commerce High School. She was a member of The Woods Baptist Church and of the Friendship Sunday school class. She served on the Kitchen committee, volunteered for Meal on Wheels and helped with the Tape Ministry at church. Mary worked for Southwestern Bell and retired after 18 years and then worked at Wal-Mart in Tyler for 5 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving family including her husband of 59 years, James Lambert; daughters, Belinda Dominey and husband Jim of Whitehouse and Kim Rush and husband Rickey of Ferris; brother, Charles Henry Hanes and wife Joyce, nieces, Elaine Wilson, of Lubbock and Debbie Blackmon, and Robyn Cloud and their families, of Tyler; grandchildren, Shana Shires, Travis Eyley, Cody Lindley, Moriah Luscombe and husband Justin, Simon Rush and wife Shannon.; great-grandchildren, Brandon Shires, Emily Shires, Nathan Eyley and great-grandbaby number 4 due in September; uncle, James Henry McKenzie of Amarillo and nephew, Michael Booth and his family of Tyler. Pallbearers will be Rickey Rush, Jim Dominey, Cody Lindley, Travis Eyley, Simon Rush and Justin Luscombe. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Richardson, Blaine Johnson, Gene Miller, Charles Henry Hanes, Dennis Rogers, Caroll Stewart, Don Denson, Tom Musclewhite, and the Friendship Sunday school class at The Woods Baptist Church. Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, March 4, 2013 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
