Pamela Sue Arntt

Services for Pamela Sue Walker Arntt, 74, of Tyler, will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Tyler with Pastor Martin Moore officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Tyler under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Arntt passed away Friday, January 18, 2024, in Tyler. She was born on February 15, 1949, in Hastings, Nebraska to Harlan “Bud” Walker and Neva Gerloff Walker. Pamela was a lifelong member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. She graduated from Hastings Senior High School and then Joseph’s School of Beauty while working at Hastings best-known restaurant the OK Café. As the oldest child Pam grew up very poor, she was always a force in making sure her siblings had shoes and clothing. Pam spent many years as a Beautician before trying her hand in the restaurant business where she learned about running a business, managing people, and customer relations. Pam relocated to Tyler, Texas with her family in 1988. She went on as an insurance saleswoman. Throughout her life, she continued to be an advocate for friends and church members who needed directions with their insurance needs. Later she and her husband Fred opened Tyler Professional Staffing and operated it until her retirement in 2010. Pam helped so many people gain employment and has garnered the respect of those she helped. Bored with retirement she opened Embroidery Design where she developed excellent design and computer skills. She finally retired in 2021 at the young age of 71. Pam is a wonderful cook and baker, a rare combination. Anyone who has tasted her famous cinnamon rolls knows the love she put in her food. Pam cared deeply for people, children, the elderly, and those with special needs. There is quite possibly not enough time to speak of what a wonderful woman Pam was. Her family and friends have certainly lost a shining star. Pam loved the lord. She will be missed but not forgotten. Her children, family, and friends will miss her all their days. Fly high MOM! Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, Harland and Neva Walker, her husband, Frederick Arntt, sisters, Penny Walker, Vicky Levander, and Patricia Jacoby, special niece, Angie Jacoby, bonus son, Matthew Arntt, brother-in-law, Robert Arntt, and many beloved aunts and uncles. She is survived by her loving family including her daughter, Tamela Callahan; son, CC Callahan; granddaughter, Courtney Callahan and her daughters, Aubree and Hadley; granddaughter, Creighton Callahan, sister, Rebecca Beam and husband Larry; brother, Rick Walker; brother, Rod Walker and wife Rachel; bonus daughter, Marilee Chaplin and husband Craig; sister-in-law, Loretta Arntt; and many loved nieces and nephews, and wonderful distant relatives and friends.
